TRC has a strong history of competitive swimming with many championships won by our club. We compete in the Greater Wichita Swim League, against teams from Indian Hills, Rockwood, Crestview, Reflection Ridge, Tallgrass, Teradyne, Rolling Hills and Wichita Country Club.  Our swimmers learn their basics in the free swim lessons available to members and then refine their technique and speed on swim team. Swimmers of all ages (5-18) and abilities are invited to join our team. If you can swim the length of the pool you should be on swim team!

The TRC Swim Team provides many great benefits:

  • Competitive Fun

  • Mastering Skills

  • Increasing Endurance and Cardiovascular Fitness

  • Building Friendships for a Lifetime

  • Self Discipline

SWIM MEETS

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE MEET?:

Swimmers should bring their swim suit, goggles, cap, extra dry clothes, multiple dry towels, water bottle, and snacks. Bring something to sit on; for swimmers this could be a dry towel or blanket, spectators should anticipate bringing a folding chair.

HOW CAN I HELP MY SWIMMER?:

Be sure to arrive on time, you don't want your swimmer to miss warmups! Make sure they eat something before the meet to give them the energy they need to swim. Know your swimmers events and encourage them to pay attention when event numbers are called - we don't want anyone to miss their race! (this is most helpful for our youngest swimmers you are navigating their first meets)

CHEER! CHEER FOR EVERYONE! Encourage your swimmer to cheer for their team mates and other swimmers. They've all been working hard at practice to be able to compete. â€‹

ANYTHING ELSE?:

YES! Swim meets cannot happen without parent volunteers like you! Every meet will need volunteers to time, place judge, stroke and turn judge, run tickets, concessions and various other tasks to keep the meet running smoothly and ensure our swimmers and guest teams have a great experience.
